I also just learned from a friend in the Philippines, that Manila has been hit with record rainfall from a typhoon on Saturday, Sept. 26th. 90% of the major throughfares are flooded. YWAM Antipolo sits on high ground but continue to pray as the area below the base is flooded. No word from YWAM Antipolo at present time.
Manila Bulletin article
As of Monday evening the fire is 60% contained and the base is now out of danger. Fire line is established and holding. Evacuation notices have been removed. Smoke will be in the Lakeside area for several more days. Thank you all for praying.
As of Sunday evening the fire was 20% under control. Winds stayed calm throughout the night Sunday and more firefighters are arriving to help today (Monday). Please continue to pray until this fire is controlled.
A fire that started last night (Sept. 26) has continued to spread towards the YWAM Montana base, SBS International and many staff homes. Winds have been a factor. It is only a couple miles away. The base is on stand-by evacuation. Pray for no wind.
The base is on water restriction so that fire trucks can fill up from the 100,000 gallon water tower. A plan is in place with neighboring churches, camps and individuals offering shelter should the need arise to evacuate.
